High school flag football players in Central Florida stepped up their performance during last week’s state playoffs.
This past week, several players delivered game-changing plays, showcasing their skills, determination, and leadership on the field. From pivotal interceptions to dynamic rushing touchdowns, these athletes have left a lasting impression and set the tone for the rest of the postseason.
Jhenelle Francis, QB, Apopka
Star senior threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns, rushed 17 times for 172 yards and three scores, while also making five tackles to lead the Blue Darters to a 41-0 victory over Ocala West Port in the Class 4A, Region 1 quarterfinals.
Anabela Hart, WR/DB/QB, Apopka
Senior caught three passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns in the Blue Darters’ 41-0 win against West Port.
Kinzie James, ATH, Harmony
Senior made two interceptions, helping the Longhorns secure a 27-20 triumph over Celebration in the Class 4A, Region 3 quarterfinals.

A standout sophomore intercepted two passes to support the Longhorns to their 27-20 win over Celebration.
Kyla Tometi, QB, Timber Creek
The skilled junior scored a rushing touchdown and connected on a touchdown pass to Lilli Dodge, guiding the Wolves to a 13-6 victory against Ocala Forest in the Class 4A, Region 1 quarterfinals.
Ashlyn Endicott, LB/RB, New Smyrna Beach
A junior made a pivotal game-sealing interception with under 30 seconds to go, propelling the Barracudas to a 7-6 win over Weeki Wachee in the Class 2A, Region 2 quarterfinals.
Molly Brock, QB /DB, New Smyrna Beach
In her first full game at quarterback, the freshman executed a 43-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to help the Barracudas rally past Weeki Wachee, 7-6.
