Creekside High Welcomes Lane Teitelbaum as Boys Basketball Head Coach

Creekside (Florida) has officially appointed Lane Teitelbaum as its new head boys basketball coach, as announced in a social media update on Monday.

Teitelbaum previously held the position of associate head coach at The Bolles School from 2016 to 2023, contributing to a Bulldog team that registered a 124-70 record (.639 winning percentage) during his time there. He is intimately familiar with the greater Jacksonville area, having graduated from The Bolles School in 1994, where he starred in their boys basketball program that advanced to the Final Four in 1993.

Under his guidance, the Bulldogs secured five regional playoff spots and reached the regional final in 2018, where they fell to Pensacola Catholic.

Between 2014 and 2021, Teitelbaum also worked as a skills instructor for Blue Heat Academy, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) program in Jacksonville, mentoring over two dozen athletes who went on to compete at the collegiate level.

He takes over for Chris Patteron, who led Creekside High School since 2022, achieving three consecutive district championships. Last season was particularly memorable as the Knights finished with a 27-5 record and reached the Class 8A Championship Game, narrowly losing to Blanche Ely.
