Delaware Set to Become Part of Conference USA in 2025/26 Season

According to multiple reports on Monday, Delaware is set to join Conference USA for all sports starting from the 2025-26 season.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens will transition from FCS to FBS in football and will depart from the Coastal Athletic Association.

As outlined in the reports, an official announcement is anticipated later this week.

Since 2001-02, the men’s team of U.S. President Joe Biden’s alma mater has been part of the CAA. The team has accrued a 5-1 record to commence this season.

The Delaware football team became a member of the CAA in 2005. With a record of 9-3, 6-2, the Blue Hens are scheduled to face Montana in the second round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday.

The university, which is situated in Newark, Del., supports 21 varsity athletic teams.
